Ian Rossiter

Started traditional Jiu Jitsu in 1984 under the guidance of Sensei C A Sidaway 6th Dan, after 15 years of training achieved the grade of 3rd Dan in Juko Ryu / Juko Kai Jiu Jitsu - the grade has been ratified in Japan and the USA.

Broke away and started my own club in 1999 incorporating different aspects to the club syllabus including the heavy influences of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Qualified as a referee under BAMMA (British Association of Mixed Martial Arts) and have refereed on many MMA events at all levels (Ultimate Combat, Extreme Brawl, UK Storm, Combat Evolution to name a few)

Gary Davies

Began training in the martial arts at the age of 19 studying Kung Fu; spent 9 years studying various styles of the Chinese art including Wing Chun, Lau Gar and Tai Chi.

Started training in Jiu Jitsu in 1996 under Sensei C A Sidaway 6th Dan and I am currently a 1st Dan Black Belt under Sensei Ian Rossiter 3rd Dan.

A qualified and approved instructor under BAMMA and a ringside judge for Ultimate Combat and other MMA events.

Qualified Coach for Russian Sambo under Vadim Kolganov (master of sport) of Dynamo Sambo. The Taunton Club is now also a member club of the Dynamo Sambo network.
